Being an Artist for well over 40 years and knowing how different mediums work I have come up with my own process on how to make the different types of fabric paints set into the garment. All T shirts are prewashed to open up fabric fibres. Once T shirt has gone through a drying process. It is mounted onto a board to start the process of sketching out the design. By dampening the garment, and repeating this process through out the painting of Artwork. I will paint a layer of permanent screen printing ink as the base colour. Once dry heat is applied to give a smooth surface, for airbrushing to commence. The paint is a high quality textile ink called Jacquard Airbrush paint. I have found has the best pigments and is bursting with colour. Heat is applied again. Final layer is fabric pens for the final detail and for a final heat press. Turning the fabric paint into a latex. Now your design is ready for the show stopping attention that any masterpiece deserves
